Welcome to the website of Kettering Liberal Democrats – inside you can find news and information about Lib Dem activities across Kettering parliamentary constituency.
As the most effective opposition at County Hall, Liberal Democrat county councillors are fighting hard to protect key local services and provide value for money. Since taking control of County Hall in 2005, Conservative councillors have wasted millions and have ideologically slashed services for the young, elderly and the disabled. On Kettering Borough Council, too, Conservative councillors have shown too much disregard for the most vulnerable in our society and have held back our town centre by doing far too little to curb the costs of town centre parking.
We believe it is time for a change!
Liberal Democrats in Kettering are once again a growing force, having welcomed tens of new members since the 2015 General Election, and form a part of the Kettering & Wellingborough local party which runs regular meetings, social activities and campaign events for our members. We are also working hard to defend Britain’s membership of the European Union by making the case that Britain’s membership of the EU gives us more jobs, more trade, better employee protection, a better protected environment and gives us more influence in Europe and beyond – and are working hard to make this case in conjunction with campaigners from right across the political spectrum.
